Headed back to England due to an unexpected turn of events.

Isabella and I were out in the neighbourhood when we got a call from our mum. She had not been well the last few weeks and was admitted to hospital for jaundice. Unfortunately whilst doing tests and investigating what caused the jaundice, they found a tumour on her pancreas. The big C word. Hearing here say they thought she had cancer just made everything feel surreal.

The world stops turning when you hear those words. What do you even say? At least I am in Europe and not Malawi right now. Guess sometimes the Universe knows what it is up to, because if I was not so upset with my situation in Malawi I never would of left and moved to Greece. So at least I am closer and can now fly back to the UK immediately.

We manage to book tickets for two days time, pack our stuff, pack up the house – as we do not know for how long we will be gone – and of course Isabella has to also sort out someone to look after Conchito as we did look into taking him but due to Brexit bureaucracy he would have to go cargo and that is very very expensive. So just us two sisters for now. See you soon Mama Bear…
