Went to Santorini this last weekend for another family wedding! I have never been to the island before so was interested to see what the all the hype was about too. Thankfully it was a little quieter as it is September, but it is still very full of tourists. We stayed near Fira in a lovely resort which was nice as lots of the guests all stayed in the same place so there was a big group of us.
We also were close to the town so plenty of times heading out to restaurants and bars close by. I had the octopus at one of the restaurants, oh wow do I miss Greek food, especially seafood. Just hits different to the UK… For the wedding day a bus takes us all to the venue as it is further away on a different part of the island, and wow were the views stunning. Such a beautiful spot, though it was very very windy! I wore a dress I bought in Malawi years ago, as my cousin getting married is half Ghanaian. So this way I am representing the Africa feels with the chitenge materials but also nice and blue for the Greek vibes too, the perfect dress really.
Even though I only went for 4 days, I still took 4 different swimming costumes and 6, yes 6 different pairs of shoe…
