I've gone a bit quiet again because, we all caught Covid. It finally did the rounds properly and got us all. Of course we were most concerned about mum but she was all good and make a good recovery! But just before that, I had an incredible time at Sugar Stealers, a space in town offering workshops for women, such a refreshing space. I was learning new skills, experimenting with DJing and learning to mix as well as doing poetry and writing workshops allowing to express myself in ways I hadn't tried before. It pushed me creatively and reminded me why I'm drawn to music in the first place: connection, expression, energy in a room.

What stood out most was the atmosphere. Strong women holding space, supporting one another, sharing knowledge without ego. That kind of environment is rare and powerful. It didn't feel competitive, it felt collaborative. You could try something new without fear of judgement. Even with everything else feeling uncertain like work slowing, health worries, constant pivots, this was a space that allowed me to play again and feel free. A reminder that growth doesn't always come from big, dramatic leaps. Sometimes it's just showing up, learning something new, and being surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you thrive.

Introduced Conchito around the neighbourhood here in Nottingham and went on a walk on the Forest Recreation Ground with Archie 🙂 Conchito makings friends. Conchito is having fun so far, he is especially loving all the sausage and bacon here in England.
